In Ukraine it is a cunning fox, and in America it is a Raccoon.

In the folklore of the Indians, the raccoon is given the same place as the cunning fox among the Slavic peoples. The raccoon, for example, in fairy tales catches fish in the hole with its tail. His favorite pastime is to deceive someone, lead him into a trap, pull off something badly lying. It turns out that even in life a raccoon can attract a predator to thin river ice with unpleasant consequences for the attacker. North America is the historical homeland of raccoons, and this is confirmed by excavations. And raccoons were brought to Europe only in the 30s of the last century. Gradually, raccoons took root in Ukraine. They are called in America the kings of the trash cans. Raccoons are lazy and never dig holes for themselves, preferring strangers. Better yet, they live in abandoned houses next to human habitations, which guarantees them an endless amount of food waste. Raccoons are not limited to garbage cans, they easily open the doors of houses, auditing kitchens and barns. “Urban” raccoons, among other things, quickly become “alcoholics”, they professionally open cans of beer and take out corks from wine bottles, and in search of alcohol they can turn everything upside down in the house. The raccoon independently and quickly learns to open the water tap, and from that moment begins to run to the washbasin with each piece of food, wash and rinse it thoroughly and for a long time, and only after that take food into the mouth. Raccoons are the only mammals that have a bone in their penis. The raccoon is common, living in North America, it has a yellowish-brown color. And a rakoid raccoon (it is also in operational development under the nickname “raccoon raccoon”), living in South and Central America, in Europe (Ukraine), we know him well from cartoons – we have him gray with a black mask on his face and black – white tail. Previously, raccoons belonged to the bear family. However, then they were isolated in a separate family of raccoons. Yes, they did not suit each other in any way. In winter, raccoons sleep for about four months. Apparently, for this they were ranked earlier as bears. However, this is not true hibernation, but torpor. In the Husky House, our Raccoons fall into a nap, but if they smell something good. then immediately wake up.
